Crisis Response and PTSD Discussion with Local Idaho Native, Francie Miller In-Person
Francie Miller will talk about how we can all be better prepared to respond to a crisis and what makes us human in the face of unexpected events.
Francie Miller, MS, is an Idaho native who has made significant contributions to the field of mental health.
She received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of KY and a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from Walden University. Her work training crisis counselors for a Kentucky rape crisis center, and her service in community and private psychiatric hospitals, have supported people in need.
In 1989, she founded and managed High Road Human Services, a private community mental health service in CDA, furthering her mission to improve mental health services.
In the 1990s, Francie and a firefighter friend traveled throughout the State of Idaho, providing crisis intervention training to county and volunteer EMS and Fire personnel, leaving a lasting impact on their ability to respond to workplace incidents.
Francie's current project is developing a women’s retreat program that will integrate nature therapy, stress relief, and personal development; continuing her legacy of community impact.
